Background:
Darktrace, a global cybersecurity company, will open its first office in Saudi Arabia as part of its expansion in the Middle East and North Africa. The new Riyadh office, in the Kingdom Centre, will serve customers across the Kingdom and the region, supporting the company’s growth plans.
Darktrace is setting up a legal entity in Saudi Arabia. Although it has been in MENA since 2017 with its Dubai office, the Riyadh office will offer more local expertise, better customer support, and technical help.
The company currently serves about 280 customers in the region and has grown by over 40% each year on average over the past five years. The company employs about 30 people in MENA, a number expected to increase after the Riyadh office opens. Its regional expansion is supported by established partners such as Alnafitha IT and Innovative Solutions.
Nicole Eagan, Co-Founder and Strategic Advisor at Darktrace, said the Kingdom’s rising investment in cutting-edge technologies makes it a vital market. With Saudi Arabia investing over US$14.9 billion in new technologies and its cybersecurity market expected to grow by up to 13% each year, the company says its new Riyadh presence will help support organisations in a fast-growing and highly dynamic market.
To deepen its engagement in the Kingdom, Darktrace has joined the Saudi British Joint Business Council (SBJBC), a body that promotes collaboration between Saudi and UK companies.
The Saudi expansion follows Darktrace’s broader global growth, including a newly opened deployment centre and corporate office in Dallas, Texas. Over the past year, the company has received several industry recognitions, including being named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Network Detection and Response.
Darktrace’s Riyadh office is expected to open by January 2026. The company will also take part in major events in the Kingdom next year, including serving as a Platinum sponsor for the British Embassy in Riyadh and British Consulate in Jeddah during the King’s Birthday celebrations in November 2025, and hosting a stand at Black Hat MEA 2025.
Darktrace has secured a licence from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry for Investment and is in the final stages of obtaining its commercial licence ahead of the office opening.
