Background-

Saudi mining and metals company Maaden reported net profit of SR7.35 billion ($1.95 billion) for 2025. In 2025, the company posted SR2.87 billion. Higher commodity prices, record production, and a one-time gain from a strategic investment supported the results.

The company generated SR38.58 billion in revenue in 2025. This is 19% higher than the SR32.55 billion recorded a year earlier. Phosphate and aluminum sales increased, helping the company grow, while gold sales were a little lower.

Gross profit went up 60% to SR14.79 billion, showing improved efficiency and careful cost management. Maaden’s CEO, Bob Wilt, said 2025 was a strong year for the company, with growth in its main commodities. He said the company reported good financial results and kept its operations running well during the year.

He highlighted record phosphate production, near-record aluminum output, and price increases for all three key products. A one-off bargain purchase gain of SR768 million from Maaden’s investment in Aluminum Bahrain also helped boost profits.

The results also benefited from lower finance costs and better returns from joint ventures. The fourth quarter saw a net profit of SR1.67 billion, compared to a loss of SR106 million in the same period last year.

Di-ammonium phosphate production reached 6.72 million tonnes, a 9 percent increase.Aluminum output remained strong, and gold resources expanded by 7.8 million ounces.

Maaden will continue to grow by working on new phosphate projects and exploration programs, with all major plans staying on track and within budget. Earnings per share increased to SR1.91, and shareholders’ equity went up 18.7% to SR61.59 billion.
