Lynn Kleinsmith began her career in South Africa’s retail industry. From 1997 to 2001, she worked as an HR consultant at The Foschini Group, where she developed strong skills in hiring, training, and employee development during a time of major economic change in the country. She learned how important employee engagement was for customer satisfaction.
From 2001 to 2009, she worked as an HR Business Partner at JP Morgan. In this fast-paced global finance setting, she gained experience managing international teams, improving performance, and handling difficult situations, including the 2008 financial crisis. In 2009, she joined Verisign as an HR Manager. There, she focused on using technology to improve hiring and workforce planning, beginning her move toward digital HR solutions.

She led an HR project merging 25 subsidiaries into one commercial operating model across multiple countries, bringing together diverse teams and supporting fast-growing technology projects during a period of rapid digital growth.

Lynn Kleinsmith reached a new level in her career working with well-known global brands. From 2013 to 2015, she was HR Director at Adidas Group South Africa. At PMI, she leads people strategies during a major shift in the tobacco industry toward smoke-free products. Her work focuses on reskilling employees and preparing them for future changes, with a promotion after 18m months into the role, showcasing her commitment to self-development and that of the organization.

After moving away from corporate HR, Lynn Kleinsmith started her own company, elev8 Global Coaching, and became a Transformation and Business Coach.
