Senaat, formerly known as Zamil Industrial Investment Company, has announced that its subsidiary Zamil Steel has achieved a major industrial milestone by delivering specialised process equipment for the Fadhili Gas Increment Project, undertaken for Saudi Aramco and Samsung E&A.
Two Gas Slug Catcher/Separator units, each measuring 44 meters in length and 7,925 millimeters in diameter and weighing roughly 1,750 metric tonnes, were designed and constructed as part of the project. The company said these units are the first of their kind to be manufactured in Saudi Arabia with such specifications.
The vessels feature exceptionally thick walls and are internally clad with corrosion-resistant Alloy 825, with a combined thickness of 196 mm and 3.2 mm. To manage the substantial weight and wall thickness involved, Zamil Steel developed specialised fabrication solutions and advanced manufacturing techniques aimed at maintaining high standards of quality and safety throughout production. The company said this approach helped ensure the reliability of the units and their ability to meet the demanding operational requirements of energy-sector projects.
