Background

Qatar-based retailing company and property development firm Al Meera Consumer Goods Company has partnered with Yardi for improving their retail property management and leasing services through cloud-based software.

This move is in line with the digital transformation of Al Meera, which seeks to streamline its operations, tenant service delivery, and portfolio management for its retail business.

Al Meera will be deploying the Yardi retail property platform to move its property management, finance management and leasing functions onto one centralised platform. This will offer better visibility and quicker decision-making to the management of the company.

The platform will have features that enable retail leasing and asset management functionalities. It will include forecast features for planning and portfolio analysis.

Al Meera’s retail partners will be able to access a tenant portal and mobile application. Through the application, tenants will be able to pay bills, submit maintenance requests, and communicate with the company.

The platform will also introduce automated procurement workflows to standardise purchasing processes, strengthen cost control and improve overall efficiency.

Ahmad Bana, Executive Director of Assets and Property Management at Al Meera, said the partnership would create a more connected and efficient property management operation. He said bringing data, processes and leasing activities onto one platform would improve transparency, decision-making and the tenant experience.

Yardi said the partnership would support Al Meera’s continued growth and help build stronger long-term operational capabilities.

Al Meera operates a large network of supermarkets, hypermarkets and convenience stores across Qatar. The new technology partnership marks another step in the company’s efforts to modernise its retail and property operations.
