Background:

The Middle East Sports Investment Forum concluded its second day at Kingdom Arena with a series of financing announcements and strategic partnerships aimed at strengthening Saudi Arabia’s rapidly expanding sports sector.

Held in partnership with the Ministry of Investment, the Ministry of Sports, and Sela Co., a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund, and supported by Invest in Saudi Arabia, the forum showcased growing investor confidence in the Kingdom’s sports economy.

On the second day, the forum announced new agreements, including investments to manufacture stadium components locally and partnerships in sports medicine to improve athlete healthcare.

In addition, agreements were announced for the development of temporary sports facilities and construction services. These projects will support Saudi Arabia’s readiness to host major international sporting events and championships. These projects are intended to improve operational efficiency and infrastructure readiness across the sector.

Investments in sports technology formed another major focus, with collaborations covering digital platforms, performance analytics, and innovation. The partnerships also cover sports marketing, club development, event promotion, and brand growth across the sector.

Day two of the forum also saw new alliances formed to develop training and development programs in several sports. These efforts aim to increase participation, improve professional standards, and support the growth of sporting talent in the Kingdom.

Participants said the announcements reflect strong confidence in Saudi Arabia’s sports market. Among the factors that drew the attention of both local and international investors, they listed the Kingdom with a good infrastructure, market potential, and opportunities that were made under Vision 2030.

The Middle East Sports Investment Forum remains a significant activity in facilitating investments, policymakers, and executives in the industry, which is helpful to promote the sports economy in Saudi Arabia and the region.
