New radia Venture Targets World-Class Sports Infrastructure in Saudi Arabia

Background 

SURJ Sports Investment, a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company, has partnered with Live Nation and Oak View Group (OVG) to launch radia, a joint venture that will support the development and management of Saudi Arabia’s growing sports and entertainment infrastructure. 

The new venture will oversee venue management, operations, commercialisation, activations and long-term planning for stadiums, arenas and major sports precincts across the Kingdom. The initiative supports PIF’s 2026-2030 strategy, which identifies sports as a key part of Saudi Arabia’s tourism, travel and entertainment sector. 

According to PIF, Radia will combine local market knowledge with international expertise to provide integrated services throughout the life cycle of sports venues. Its responsibilities will include design review, operational planning, project oversight, venue operations and commercial development. 

The company also plans to use digital technologies, data-driven solutions and sustainable practices to improve fan experiences while helping venues become commercially successful destinations. 

Position of Chief Executive Officer of radia is given to Xavier Campbell has been appointed. He will lead the company’s market expansion and oversee its long-term growth strategy. 

SURJ Chief Executive Officer Danny Townsend said the partnership represents an important step in building a modern sports sector that supports long-term economic growth and delivers world-class experiences for fans and visitors. Live Nation Chairman for Europe, the Middle East and Africa John Reid said the venture builds on the company’s long-standing presence in Saudi Arabia by bringing global expertise in venue operations and live events. 

Saudi Arabia’s sports sector is expected to exceed $22 billion by 2030. Through Radia, the partners aim to strengthen the Kingdom’s sports infrastructure, attract more international events and support the development of a globally competitive sports and entertainment ecosystem.
