Background-
EFG International has appointed Ranjit Khanna as Chief Executive Officer of its Dubai Advisory Office, strengthening the bank’s Middle East business. The veteran private banker takes up the role from August 26 and will lead the further growth of EFG’s business in the Dubai International Financial Centre and across the UAE.
Khanna joins from Bank of Singapore, where he served as DIFC Chief Executive and also led the private banking business covering clients across the Middle East, Europe, and Global South Asia.
He brings more than three decades of international private banking experience, including senior roles at Swiss and international financial institutions across Asia and the Middle East.
A Singaporean national, Khanna started his banking career in New York before building his career across multiple markets.
Dubai has grown into an increasingly important market for EFG. The bank’s Dubai Advisory Office, which opened in 2019, now employs more than 60 professionals serving private banking clients across the region. EFG considers Dubai one of its key strategic growth hubs as it plans longer-term expansion across the Middle East.
The move fits EFG’s wider strategy to deepen its presence in the region, extending the office’s rapid growth since it launched, and a career spanning multiple markets and institutions positions Khanna to support EFG’s push to grow its private banking footprint in the DIFC and beyond.
