Key Background:
The new Saudi Arabian carrier, Riyadh Air, unveiled the interior of its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, the new premium international air travel gold standard. Riyadh Air is set to operate in the second half of 2025 and lead Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 with global connectivity and tourism development. Riyadh Air is set to connect Riyadh to more than 100 cities in five years of operations.
The airline’s new cabins are focused on luxury, technology, and privacy. The top is the Business Elite, whose enclosed suites have sliding doors, 32-inch 4K OLED screens, and lie-flat beds. Double beds to be configured by some of the center suites can be savored by couples. The residents of these suites can savor the indulgence of high personal space, comfort, and state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment.
Premium Economy also has extra comfort, such as 38-inch pitch, 19.2-inch width seats, calf and leg rests, and 15.6-inch entertainment screens. Even economy class passengers will enjoy 31-inch pitch seating and generous 13.4-inch 4K screens, so everyone flying in every class will enjoy quality design and technology.
One of the strongest onboard initiatives is to offer unlimited, free, high-speed Wi-Fi to all its loyalty members. The Wi-Fi will not only support gate-to-gate streaming, browsing, but also gaming. Non-members also can sign up onboard onboard flight to use this free service, a move that says much about the airline’s tech-oriented strategy.
Interior design, imbued with Riyadh’s tones and textures, also has a similarly balanced sound blending Saudi heritage and modern tastes. From light to material, interior space is also crafted with detail to maintain calm and luxury. Innovation on Riyadh Air overflows into travel through app-based and biometric boarding, eliminating hassle from end to end.
Uniforms by Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi are a period nod to the glamour of 1950s flying in the manner that they reflect the airline’s mix of tradition and dynamism. Ready to take its place in a busy sky, Riyadh Air introduces itself as more than a national carrier, but as a symbol of Saudi Arabia’s visionary evolution.
