The fund, launched with the Cultural Development Fund as the main investor and MEFIC Capital as manager, has become an important player in supporting film projects both in Saudi Arabia and abroad.
According to the press release, the Cultural Development Fund continues to serve as the principal investor, holding a 40 percent stake in Riviera Content’s total capital of SR375 million. This strategy shows Saudi Arabia’s commitment to building a strong cultural and creative economy as part of Vision 2030.
The Cultural Development Fund plays an important role by supporting the cultural sector with funding that helps growth, builds global partnerships, and raises the Kingdom’s standing in the film industry.
Officials said Riviera Content’s projects support the National Culture Strategy, which focuses on diversifying the economy, expanding creative industries, and making Saudi Arabia a global cultural hub. Working with leading studios is also expected to bring in international investment and create opportunities for local talent and filmmakers.
Riviera Content was rebranded and has film projects with an emphasis on the goal of making Saudi Arabia a place of quality film production.
