Saudi Arabia’s New Murabba Development Company, owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has partnered with Alat to introduce revolutionary smart technology to the Mukaab megaproject. The partnership is centered on the intersection of AI-based infrastructure, virtual reality spaces, and emerging vertical mobility systems, such as smart elevators and escalators.
It will fund research and develop concepts with localized manufacturing on-site, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s localization vision in Vision 2030. The collaboration also goes in line with wide-ranging economic diversification plans due to the creation of indigenous manufacturing capabilities that stand to create a platform for sustainable and future-proofed urban infrastructure.
New Murabba CEO Michael Dyke described this partnership as a milestone in developing a revolutionary smart city destination.
